When I approach carving my mugs, I typically favor a landscape design over pattern based work. After carving one fern on this mug, I quite enjoyed the thought of letting the glaze take it's own form using the carving to change and flow the colors and texture at will, so I continued on carving the ferns around the rest of the piece. I love how this one turned out! Perfect for anyone who likes more of an abstract design or pattern, or someone who loves to be out in nature taking in all of the sights and greenery this planet has to offer.
