'Gold Medal Flour' thematically is returning to the beginning days of my carving journey. I was interested in the integration of architectural structures with more natural forms as shown in the clouds and how those two can juxtapose or complement each other in the graphic style black and white relief prints often take on.
I’m looking towards Minneapolis this time around as opposed to Chicago or Florence, but the sentiment in perspective and content holds true. I’m excited to move forward with some more iconic Minneapolis/St. Paul landmarks in this next season of my carving journey to capture more shared experiences in these places so many hold near and dear to their hearts.
