***READ BEFORE PURCHASE!!*** This mug had a couple things go wrong with it during the trimming/glazing process. While trimming the foot ring, I believe the bottom got a little thin. Nothing had cracked, but during the first firing process, there must have been a hairline fracture that expanded because while I was glazing it I noticed some glaze had seeped through the bottom. After the second firing I noticed a small glaze bubble that popped near the top rim on the inside of the cup, which is pictured above. 
 
I did a test with this cup, pouring boiling hot water into the mug (as I do with all of my mugs) and nothing leaked, meaning the glaze sealed up the crack! Amazing! But I would be careful using it long term with hot beverages as there's a bigger chance of cracking or a problem occurring down the road. I am recommending this be used for display purposes to house brushes or pencils.
